Theresa Kaye Vest

Ms. Theresa Kaye Vest, 73, of Snyder,TX died on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

A Funeral Service for Ms. Vest will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Colonial Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Reid Johnson officiating. Internment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Ms. Vest was born on August 29, 1950, in Knox City, TX to Chester and Mary Magdalene (Morris) Abbott. She loved playing games with friends, especially Train, Cards and Marbles, Tenzee and Pollyanna. She collected eggs and tigers. She loved visiting with her friends and family and watching crime tv shows and movies. She had a strong disdain for the color green. She prided herself in students calling her to get help with homework after being a school teacher for many years. She was a member of Colonial Hill Baptist Church and believed in Jesus as her Lord and Savior.

She is survived by:

1 Son,

Scott Vest and wife Britney, Millerton, OK;

2 Nephews,

Justin Stokes, Houston, TX, and

Matthew Stokes, Kerrville, TX; and

1 Brother in Law,

David Stokes, Snyder, TX.

She was preceded in death by her

Parents, Chester and Mary Abbott and

Sister, Darlene Stokes.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2024, from 4 PM to 5 PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
