Tommie Joe Henry

Mr. Tommie Joe Henry age 82 of San Angelo, TX formerly of Hermleigh died Monday, September 21, 2020 at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, TX.

A graveside service for Mr. Henry will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 10 o'clock AM at Pyron Cemetery with Mr. Jimmy Hudgins officiating Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Tommie was born June 13, 1938 in Jacksonville, Texas to Elmer and Opal (Newton) Henry. Tommie married Nell Hudgins on August 12, 1967.

Tommie farmed around Hermleigh for many years before going to work for Scurry County where he retired in 2002.

Tommie enjoyed high school football, drinking coffee with friends, conversations with anyone who had a few minutes to visit and attending his grandchildren's activities.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years Nell; daughter Mande and son-in-law Greg Reeves of Lubbock; son Jimmy Joe of San Angelo, granddaughters Cassidy, and Sydney Reeves and grandsons Cade, Wyatt and Trey Henry. He is survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Ralph and Barbara Hudgins, Jim and Wanda Crownover, Jimmy and Pat Hudgins, Dennis and Mary Carlton, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Tommie was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother Lonnie and daughter-in-law Ashley.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 25, 2020 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
