Tommye Joe Herring

Tommye Joe Herring, age 38, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at his home in Snyder, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM, on Friday, March 7th,2025, at Stonewater Church with Pastor Cody Wall officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Tommye was born on February 7,1987, in Abilene, Texas, to Tommye Gene Herring and Janice (Cox) Rose. From a young age, Tommye had a strong work ethic and a spirit full of grit and humor. He spent many years working as a lineman - a job he not only enjoyed but took immense pride in. Whether it was climbing a pole or cracking a joke to lighten the day, Tommye gave his all to his work and to the people around him.

He loved his family fiercely and was always ready with a smile, a story, or a prank to make someone laugh. Tommye's sense of humor was as big as his heart and his presence filled every room he walked into.

He is survived by his loving wife, Chelsi Herring of Snyder, Texas; his two daughters, Brynli Herring and Rowen Herring, both of Snyder; his mother, Janice Cox of Abilene, Texas; his sister, Brittany Linnan and husband Aaron, of Abilene, Texas; and numerous family friends, nieces and nephews who adored him.

There is no visitation planned at this time.

Tommye was preceded in death by his father, Tommye Gene Herring.
