Veneta Joy Groves

Mrs. Veneta Joy Groves, 89, of Lubbock, TX, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at her home in Lubbock, TX. Services for Mrs. Groves will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Pyron Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. A visitation will be held Friday, April 19, 2024, from 8:30 AM to 9:30 Am at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Veneta Joy Groves was born on November 24, 1934, to Grady and Lottie (Gee) Jackson. Joy graduated from Snyder High School in 1953. Veneta married Jerry Groves on January 23, 1954 in Clovis, NM. Joy enjoyed working at Texas Tech University Bookstore for many years. She was know as Nana to her family and friends. She dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She could grow the biggest red geraniums. She loved Texas Tech and and watching all sports. She will be missed by many, and those who she helped by volunteering at many organizations throughout her lifetime.
