Mrs. Thompson was called from labor to her heavenly reward on Septmeber 23, 2022. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at 10 AM at Bell Cypert Seale Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathan W. Clayton officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Bell Cypert Seale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Thompson was born on October 14, 1935 in Cameron, TX to Frank and Mary Hall. Mrs. Thompson attended school in Cameron and also San Angelo, TX, later moving to Snyder. After residing in Snyder several years, she relocated to San Francisco, California and met her first husband. To this union, one son was born, Billy Ray Hall. Years later, she returned to Snyder where she met and married Hiram Mason Thomson, affectionatly known as Smiley. This union produced two children, a daughter, Sheila A. Thompson, and a son, Steven M. Thompson.

As the years went by, she earned her certification to become a teacher's aid in the Snyder Independent School System, helping to guide and instruct young students for 33 years. After retiring, she also worked as a private sitter for the elderly.

She was a proud member of Mount Olive Baptist Church and attended until her health started to decline. Mrs. Thompson had many days of smiles and laughter, but also many of tears and pain. Through them all, she never forgot about God and held tight to her faith.

Mrs. Thompson is preceeded in death by her father, Frank Hall; mother, Mary Hall Baily; son, Billy Ray Hall; and her husband, Hiram Mason "Smiley" Thompson.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sheila A. Clayton and son in law DeWayne Clayton; son, Steven M. Thomspon; step daughter, Mary F. Thompson; step son, Willis Harrison; grandsons, DeWayne Clayton Jr. Jonathan Wayne Clayton, Jeremy Wayne Clayton; a great grandson, Amius Wayne Clayton; and a host of friends, past students, and family.
