Wally Lee Holmesly

Walter "Wally" Lee Holmesly, Jr., 60 of Snyder,TX died on Monday, November 16, 2020 at his home in Snyder.

Services for Wally will be held on Monday, November 23, 2020, at Bell Cypert Seale Chapel  with Craig Randolph officiating. Interment will follow Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Texas State Cemetery in Abilene . Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Wally was born on Tuesday, June 14, 1960 in Farmington, NM to Walter Lee Holmesly Sr. and Alta Faye (Jo) Jones Thrower, but he recognized Leroy Thrower as his father.

Wally came to Scurry County in 1966, Graduate of Snyder High School Class of 1978, Served in the United States Navy August 1978- August 1982, while serving he was aboard submarines USS Barbel, USS Patrick Henry, USS Aspro, and the aircraft carrier USS Constellation. He was employed by Production Pump Systems Inc. after being diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis, he recieved a bi-lateral lung transplant in 2010 and supported the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.

Mother - Ms. Alta Faye (Jo) Thrower, Snyder, TX

Sisters - Shana Reed, Lubbock, TX and Robin Clayton of Shawnee, OK

Neice - Taylor Reed, Lubbock, TX

Brother - Bryan Thrower, Carrollton, TX

Nephew - Brody Thrower, Carrollton, TX

Nephew - Brendan Thrower, Carrollton, TX

Aunts - Lorene Jones Honeywell of Shawnee, OK, Rebecca Hauser of Waurika, OK

Uncles - Bill Jones of Shawnee, OK and Carl Jones of Cromwell, OK

Step-Son - Justin Burns of Albany, TX

Grandchildren - Lucy Cook and Liv Holmesly of Snyder

He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Kevin Holmesly and step son Trevor Emerson.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at 4:00 PM at Bell Cypert Seale Funeral Home.
