Welton Cobb, 66, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, in Snyder.
Mr. Cobb was born August 18, 1956, in Snyder Texas to Stanley and Eddie Lee Cobb. He attended Snyder public schools where he excelled in track and football. He later received a football scholarship to play at the University of Texas in El Paso. Upon returning to Snyder, he married, becoming the proud father of 3 daughters and 1 son as well as a grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Robert Lee Cobb and Billy Norris Cobb, and sister Maxine Session.
Welton is survived by daughters Jamila Cobb and Melravis Hawkins both of Lubbock, Texas, daughter Kierra Cobb and son JaMikel Cobb both of Odessa, Texas, two sisters: Vonnie B Wallace and Roann Clay of Snyder, Tx. Three brothers: Stanley Cobb, of Monahans, Tx., Brady Cobb and Melvin Cobb, both of Snyder, Tx. One granddaughter, Emmi, and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family requests that all flowers and notes be sent to the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ c/o Roann Clay at 3301 Ave M, Snyder, TX. 79549.
The memorial service will be held at the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ on October 1, at 10:30 a.m. with pastor Tony Wofford officiating. Services are under the direction of Bell Cypert Seale Funeral Home.
