Wesley "Pee Wee" Olsen Graves

February 2, 1932 — May 18, 2022

Wesley Olsen ‘PeeWee’ Graves, age 90, of Snyder, TX, died May 18, 2022 in Sachse, TX.

A Graveside Services for Mr. Graves will be Saturday, May 28, 2022, at 10 AM at Hillside Memorial Gardens with Mr. Mike Dennis Officiating. Services are under the direction of Bell Cypert Seale Funeral Home.

PeeWee was born on February 2, 1932 in Eureka TX to Joseph Douglas and Hazel Oneta (Olsen) Graves. After graduating from high school, he followed his sweetheart’s family to Snyder.  He married Sandra Comer on August 13, 1953 in Corsicana, TX but they spent their entire married life together in Snyder.  She preceded him in death this past December after 68 years of marriage.

PeeWee served in the National Guard of Texas, the Army Artillery Unit in Korea, and later in the Army Reserve for five years after active duty.  After a 40-year career with AT&T, he retired in 1992.

Wes was a trader by nature.  During his time with AT&T/Southwestern Bell, he spent his spare time buying, selling, and trading used cars.  After retirement, he spent his years maintaining a small herd of cattle.  Wes was also a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan.  They were his team through thick and thin.  He dearly loved Snyder and all his friends here.
