Mr. William Jared McMillan, 38 of San Antonio,TX lost his battle with cancer on Thursday, March 25, 2021 in San Antonio after a lengthy illness.
Services for Mr. McMillan will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Crestview Church of Christ in Waco Texas. Services are under the direction of Grace Gardens Funeral Home in Waco, Texas.
Jared was born on June 11, 1982 in Lubbock,Texas. Jared grew up and attended school in Snyder. After graduation in 2000 he enlisted in the US Air Force. He married Christy Tomlinson April 5, 2002. They were blessed with a daughter, Aria Jordyn October 5, 2016.
He was in his last semester to become a physicians assistant when he became ill. He served as a medic in the Air Force. He was deployed to several areas including two tours in Iraq. He retired in 2020 after 20 years of service.
Jared was honored by the Gloria Borges Wunder Glo Foundation that paid tribute to him at their annual Cancer Awards Gala.
Jared was diagnosed with terminal colon cancer in May of 2016. He fought with all his might and his motto was NEVER EVER QUIT-Faith, Family, Fight.
He never complained and continued to inspire others with his faith, his writings and speeches along with his ever present smile in the face of adversity.
He is survived by:
Wife - Christy Tomlinson McMillan, Waco, TX
Daughter - Aria Jordyn McMillan, Waco, TX
Mother - Lana Lee, Snyder, TX
Grandfather - Ted McMillan and wife Shirley
Uncles - Lane, Laddie, and Lance McMillan

Mother in Law - Diane Tomlinson
Brother in Law - Mike Tomlinson
Sister in Law - Missy Tomlinson and husband Richard
He was preceded in death by:
Father-in-law Ronnie Tomlinson with whom he had a special bond.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 09, 2021 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Grace Gardens Funeral Home in Waco, TX.
