Winnie Jean Mccommas

Mrs.Winnie Jean McCommas, 89 of Snyder,TX died on Saturday, March 17, 2018 in Snyder after a brief illness.

Please join us in a Celebration of life for Mrs. Winnie Jean McCommas which will be held on Friday, March 23, 2018, at 4:00 PM at Colonial Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Tommy Culwell officiating and assisted by Rev. Jerry Neill. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mrs. McCommas was born on January 12, 1929 in Snyder, TX to J.C. "Jack" and Gertrude "Gertie" Estelle (Sooter) Wilson. She married D.W. McCommas in 1951 in Snyder, Texas.

She was a bank teller for West Texas State Bank for over 20 years, and served several years as a volunteer for Scurry County Meals on Wheels. She also worked with the Kairos Prison Ministry and was an Anteneum Club member and a member of Colonial Hill Baptist Church and The Love Sunday School Class. She danced with the Deep Creek Cloggers, loved attending Senior Citizen Dances in Snyder, Jayton, Big Spring, Rotan and the surrounding area. She also served as a classroom volunteer for many years in Suzanne's 2nd Grade Classroom- the students loved and knew her as "Nanny."

13) Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Louise Woolever; and her brothers, Billie Jack and Aubrey Wilson..

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
