Billy Joe Stephens

Billy Joe Stephens, 86, of Snyder, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 12, 2024. Mr. Stephens was born on June 15, 1937, to Wilburn and Ollie (Mosco) Stephens in Panama, Oklahoma.

After marrying the love of his life, Joyce Stephens, on August 31, 1957, Bill and Joyce started Stephens Office Supply & Printing in 1966.  Bill was well-known throughout the community for his work ethic and selfless nature.  He served and cared for many people throughout his 57 years of owning Stephens Office Supply & Printing.

Of much more importance to Mr. Stephens than his business was his family.  He was a devoted and loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandpa, and great-grandpa.  While working and after his retirement in 2023, Bill spent most of his time with family.  He loved spending time with Joyce, their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  He attended First Baptist Church of Snyder, Texas.  He also enjoyed fishing and trips to the lake.

Mr. Stephens was preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn and Ollie Stephens; brother, Wilburn M. Stephens, Jr.; brother, Sam Stephens; sister-in-law, Virginia Fulks; sister-in-law, Anna Stephens; sister-in-law, Kathy Stephens; mother-in-law, Opal Brown; and sister-in-law, Judy Ashley; nephew, Wesley Stephens.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Stephens of Snyder, Texas; son, Billy Stephens, Jr. and wife Kendra of Lubbock, TX; daughter, Laura Davis and husband Wayne of Snyder, TX; granddaughter, Alayna Vise and husband Kelby of Big Spring, TX; granddaughter, Ryanna Orona and husband Anthony of Snyder, TX; grandson, Will Stephens and wife Madi of Lubbock, TX; grandson, Luke Stephens of Lubbock, TX; great grandsons Jeremiah Vise, Jack & Phillip Orona, and Sutton Stephens; great granddaughters Emmeline & Ava Vise and Macy Orona; brother-in-law, David Richardson and wife Betty; sister-in-law, Patty Ross and husband Jay; sister-in-law, Betty Reed. Numerous nieces and nephews, Teresa Robertson and husband Bill, Mike Stephens and wife Vicki, Mark Stephens and wife Lesa, Max Stephens and wife Jana, and Melinda Roach and husband Tommy.

Services will be held at Bell Cypert-Seale Funeral Home on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Ben Reid officiating.  Burial will follow under the direction of Bell Cypert-Seale Funeral Home at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Bell Cypert-Seale Funeral Home from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
