Terry Jon Martin

Mr. Terry Jon Martin, 77, of Snyder, TX, died on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Cogdell Memorial Hospital in Snyder, Texas.

Services for Mr. Martin will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Colonial Hill Baptist Church with Hospice Chaplain Kinney Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Martin was born on September 20, 1944, in Santa Barbara, CA to Merrill Reid and Alene Virginia (Walker) Martin. He married Martha Eiland on November 1, 1980 in Snyder, TX. Terry was an active public servant. He was a long-time member of the Snyder Lions Club and served on the board of directors at West Texas State Bank. He also served on the Snyder Independent School District Board from 1988-1994. Mr. Martin served as Mayor of Snyder from 2012-2015 and was a city councilman at-large from 1997-2011 and 2019-2021. He also had a great love of the outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with his family hunting, fishing and sailing. His favorite event of the year was participating in the 4 ^th of July parade.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
